Description
Workers install four 400 horsepower Geary boilers for the Pittsburgh and West Virginia Gas Company in Downs, West Virginia. The boiler drums, headings, and water tubes are already in place, and the structure will be bricked in to contain the fire that will heat the water in the tubes. The workers are employed by the Rust Engineering Company’s Pittsburgh Office, which specialized in boiler installation. For a view of the completed boiler room, see image (80.15.2).
