About VIDEOSCOPE
Founded in 1993 by Joe Kane who wrote and published under the moniker Phantom of the Movies, VIDEOSCOPE started out as a newsletter before evolving into a full magazine with national distribution. The publication includes reviews focusing on home media releases of genre films, articles, and interviews with filmmakers, writers, and actors. VIDEOSCOPE covers a wide range of genre film including horror, science fiction, action, and exploitation cinema and much more. Kane served as editor of VIDEOSCOPE from 1993 until his death in 2020 after which his widow Nancy Naglin assumed editorship and continued to publish the magazine.
