The result was the "Chicago World's Fair: A Century of Progress." In the midst of the nation's worst depression, the Fair portrayed America's future brightly with science and technology providing the cornerstones for a new tomorrow.
World War II Allied Leadership Propaganda
This set of postcards, printed by the British Royal Air Force, show the Allied forces involved in all facets of war. The images stress qualities such as teamwork, cooperation, and camaraderie: fundamentals of a winning effort.
French Cartoon Parodies of Nazi Leadership
Contemporary to the Nazi Occupation of France during World War II, these postcards, printed in France, depict Hitler and the Nazi regime as most ignominious and cowardly figures. In such dire times the French Resistance seized the opportunity to sully their opponent through humor.
German Military and Nazi Leadership Propaganda
This set of postcards, printed by the Nazi regime, demonstrate their desire to maintain morale on the home front. This could be done in no better way than to glorify the very men orchestrating the war.
