The Historic Pittsburgh Finding Aids provide access to guides describing archival collections held by the University of Pittsburgh's Archives Service Center and the Library & Archives of the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania at the Heinz History Center. The 854 finding aids in this collection describe important archival collections on greater Pittsburgh area history. Additional information is available on the Historic Pittsburgh Encoded Archival Description (EAD) Project page. Using the Finding Aids CollectionAny word or phrase in a text of the finding aids collection can be found using the search option. Once a finding aid of interest is located, the finding aid can be viewed and printed. If you would like to find out more information about the collection itself, view the finding aid in either "outline" or "full-text" view to see contact information for the respository in which the collection is located.
