Description
Reproduction of a painting based on a faked photograph linking the two leaders. The government printing house printed 200,000 copies of the painting, an extremely large number of copies at the time. The image was intended to portray Stalin as the rightful heir to Lenin. After suffering his first stroke in May 1922, Lenin spent the rest of his days in his country estate in Gorki, near Moscow.
