After Pantaleon is miraculously healed from the tortures shown in panels 10 and 11, a millstone is tied to his neck and he is thrown into the sea (Panel 12). In this panel, Christ rescues Pantaleon .
Pantaleon (tonsured, haloed, and naked) emerges from the waves at left. Christ (crossed halo) stands at right, pulling Pantaleon from the sea with one hand and making a gesture of blessing with the other.
