Panel 10-The Three Maries at the Tomb (Matthew 28:1-8; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-10;
John 20:1-10)
This scene takes place in an interior- three conical lamps hang from the ceiling. An angel (haloed) sits on the tomb at left, he points toward Christ's empty shroud. Mary Magdalen (haloed) stands at center. The two other Maries stand to the right; soldiers sleep below.
This episode is described in all the Gospels - Matthew 28:1-7, Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:1-12, and John 20: 11-13.
