Panel 11: The father of the girls thanks Nicholas
In Panel 10, Nicholas provides a dowry for indigent girls. Their father follows Nicholas to thank him; however, Nicholas refuses his thanks and wishes to remain anonymous.
At left, is a city with towers and crenellated walls. Before its open gate kneels the father of the girls shown in panel 10- he raises his hands to thank Nicholas. Nicholas (beardless, haloed) turns away from the man and lifts his hands (rejecting the man’s thanks). At right is abstract vegetation.
