Description
Life of Nicholas Window
Delaporte no. 60, Deremble-Manhes no. 39
Panel 1: Donors:
In the lower left corner of this window is a bare-headed man carrying a large bundle. A mirror image of this figure appears in the lower right corner of this window.
Panel 2: Donor: merchants
A beardless man wearing a skullcap stands behind a large counter. He holds a belt- two other belts hang from a peg at left. On the counter stand two containers (baskets?) one holds small red round objects, the other small green round objects. The counter, baskets and rack are similar to those in the donor panel in the opposite corner of the panel.
It is not clear whether the donors are grocers, apothecaries, or haberdashers. Delaporte points out that the same merchant could sell groceries, medicines, and articles of clothing
