Description
The leftmost of a row of figures on the upper level of the west side of the South Porch. These figures are thought to represent Old Testament kings- possibly the ancestors of Christ (Houvet, p. 13). The figure is a crowned man with a pointed beard (certainly King David) holding a harp in one hand and a staff (?) in the other. He stands on a small tree growing from the sleeping figure of his father Jesse.
