Panel 24- Jerusalem
This panel, along with panel 25 forms a two-panel scene of the Entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-9, Mark 11:1-10, Luke 19:28-38, John 12:12-16).
The inhabitants of Jerusalem greet Christ. The city is seen from ground level, with a high crenellated wall and 6 towers. Around the base are houses with doors and roofs. At left is the city gate- several inhabitants lean from it holding palm fronds. There are also two figures capering on the rooftops.
