Panel 20: King demands Thomas sacrifice to the Sun God
An idol stands at left under a structure - a pagan temple (?). Like many idols at Chartres, it is a small, nude golden male figure. It stands on a pedestal (an altar?) supported by two small Corinthian capitals. King Mygdeus stands at center right, crowned and holding a scepter. He points at an idol but looks toward Thomas (haloed, barefooted) who stands at right raising his hand. To the extreme right are two hooded figures (priests of the sun god?)
