Panel 27: Two Old Testament
Two Old Testament figures (bearded, no halos) stand on foliage forms and look toward panel 26, which shows the Virgin and Child enthroned. The figures hold phylacteries with inscriptions. The one at right has his mantle over his head- his scroll holds the inscription EZECHIEL. The other prophet wears a skullcap- his inscription is DANIEL
An early description by Pintard shows that the original subject of this panel was quite different from that in this replacement, which was made in 1928 (Delaporte, p. 193).
Panels 24-8 form a single composition showing the Display and Adoration of Relics.
