Lower Left: Animals in Eden? (Genesis 29-31)
A number of birds and animals, which may represent God giving Adam dominion over creature of the world. Among them are a sheep and a horse-like creature with a smaller one by its side (an illustration of God’s injunction to “increase and multiply” ?)
Upper Center: God and Adam (Genesis 1:29-31)
At left, Adam (naked) stands looking at God (bearded, cross halo) who sits at right.
Right (Upper and Lower) :The rivers of Eden (Genesis 2:10-4)
Four beardless. Barefooted standing men with naked torsos pour water out of jugs. This motif is taken from classical art.
