Panel 2:. Pantaleon before Maximien
Pantaleon is brought before Emperor Maximien again, who once again condemns him to death.
At right, Emperor Maximien (crowned,) sits on elaborate throne with a footstool. One of his hands is on his thigh, the other gestures toward Pantaleon (haloed, tonsured, carrying a book) who stands at center. He raises his hand toward the Emperor (At left is a man, probably one of Pantaleon’s torturers, who has one of his hands on Pantaleon’s shoulder.
