Panel 7: Pantaleon cures a paralyzed man
According to some accounts, after Pantaleon had been accused by jealous colleagues (panel 8), the Emperor Maximien asked him to renounce Christianity. To prove the power of Christianity, Pantaleon cured a man with withered limbs. The Emperor took this as a sign that Pantaleon was a magician, and condemned him to death.
The sufferer is at left, wearing a hooded garment. His legs are twisted and he holds a frame which he uses to support himself. Pantaleon (haloed), stands at right, raising his hand. In the background is and arcade with carved capitols- a roof is above
