Panel 21- Baptism of Christ (Matthew 3:13-6, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:29-34)
Christ (halo with cross) stands frontally at center. He is nude and the waters of the Jordan River are gathered up around his lower body. At left stands John the Baptist (halo, bare legs), raising his hand toward Christ’s head. Behind John is a small tree. To the right stands an angel (halo, barefooted) holding a cloth.
