Panel 28: David (or Samson) kills a Lion
At left, David (or Samson) holds open the jaws of a lion standing at right. Below are four or more sheep. Medieval commentators compared Samson’s killing the lion to Christ’s victory over death, and David’s similar deed as showing how God protects his flock.
