In the foreground, a man cuts wood (?) with an elaborate saw. Behind him two men carry a large beam while another one carries a block of stone on his shoulder.
An early description by Pintard shows that the original subject of this panel was quite different from that in this replacement, which was made in 1928 (Delaporte, p. 193).
