Description
South Porch, Central Portal (Last Judgment Portal)
Trumeau- Detail of Upper Level of Base
At center kneels a man made on a much larger scale than the other figure. This is generally thought to represent Peter Mauclerc, the Count of Dreux, who was also the patron of the large rose window in the South Transept. At left, a man in a short tunic. He has a basket of a type of loaves of bread associated with alms given to the poor.
See Williams for a discussion of these figures.
