Panel 23: Pantaleon and Hermolaus before Maximien
At right, Emperor Maximien (crowned) sits on elaborate throne with a footstool. He looks and gestures toward Pantaleon (tonsured, haloed, carrying a book) who stands at center. At left are the Hermolaus (haloed, wearing the vestments of a priest) and two of his companions. All hold books.
