At left stand two executioners. The one in the front has his coif down and holds the scabbard of his sword. The one behind has his coif up. Pantaleon (haloed, tonsured) kneels at right. His hands are pressed together in a gesture of prayer, and he looks at a dove which emerges from a cloud at upper right. In the background is a stylized tree.
