Description
West Façade, Left Portal:Left Side of Lintel.
Six haloed men (some bearded, others beardless) sitting on what appears to be a long bench or seat. They hold books or scrolls and look upwards. Though many scholars think they are apostles at the Ascension, Fassler argues they are Old Testament prophets who prefigured the Second Coming of Christ (Fassler, p, 509)
