Panel 9: Two Apostles
MODERN (1872) Pintard, writing in the early 18th century, describes the original as “two disciples walking”
This scene takes place out of doors, as there is an abstract tree at the extreme right. In the center are two men (halo, barefoot, carrying books) who turn toward one another (in conversation?).
