After the resurrection of Gad, brother of Gundophorus, King of India, Thomas demanded that all the population of the province be brought together. When this was done, Thomas preached about Christ, and rays of light emanating from Heaven healed the infirm people in the gathering. Seeing these miracles, over 9,000 people converted to Christianity.
Thomas (haloed, barefooted) stands at left. He looks and gestures toward the right. At center kneels a man (probably one of the infirm) who presses his palms together and looks upwards, as a ray of light emanates from above and envelopes his head and shoulders. Behind him stand two people,
