Description
Labyrinth in the pavement of the nave. Many cathedrals built around this time had labyrinths- including those at Sens, Reims, Amiens, Arras, St. Quentin, and Bayeaux. The only original ones extant are at Chartres and at St. Quentin. The labyrinth now at Amiens is a reconstruction.
Drawing after Massé, H.J.L.J. The City of Chartres, its Cathedral and Churches. London : G. Bell & Sons, 1900, 84.
