Panel 16: The resurrected Gad tells his brother what he has seen
Before this episode began, Gundophorus, King of India, had imprisoned Thomas for giving alms and building churches with funds intended for the construction of a royal palace. Gad, the brother of Gundophorus, dies. In Heaven he is shown a golden structure containing crowned figures (Panel 15) He then was resurrected and reported to his brother what he had seen.
In the background is an arcade with carved capitals, which indicates that the scene is taking place in a sumptuous interior? At right sits King Gundophorus (crowned, holding a scepter). In the center is stands Thomas, identifiable by his halo and bare feet. At left stands another man, probably Gad.
