At center stands a bearded man holding a scabbard in one hand while with the other, he raising a sword that strikes Thomas’s neck. Thomas (haloed) stands at right, his hands raised and his palms pressed together in a gesture of prayer. He looks upward and to the left, where the Hand of God reaching out of a cloud. To the extreme left stands a bareheaded man. To the extreme right is a stylized tree.
