Panel 19: The wheel breaks
The wheel on which Pantaleon is being tortured is broken by Heavenly intervention. Pantaleon (tonsured, haloed, and naked) kneels at left, his hands lifted in prayer toward the Hand of God that reaches down from a cloud. Two red rays (of fire?) stretch from the hand of God to the machine below. The wheel being destroyed. Large pieces of its rim are broken off (flying through the air)? At bottom right, a man, probably one of the torturers lies on the ground. Behind Pantaleon is a stylized tree.
Compare to a similar scene in the Margaret and Catherine window.
