Panel 1- Donors: Vintners at work
At the center of the panel, three bare-headed wine growers cultivate the soil with hoes. On either side of them stand figures wearing hoods, one of whom carries a crescent-shaped object similar to the tool used in Panel 10 to prune grape vines (a billhook). See also the donors’ panel in the adjacent Life of the Virgin window.
