Panel 23-The Entry into Jerusalem
This panel, along with panel 25 forms a two-panel scene of the Entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-9, Mark 11:1-10, Luke 19:28-38, John 12:12-16).
Christ (halo with cross) rides the donkey to the right towards panel 25. Behind him to the left stands a group of five or more apostles with halos. The one nearest Christ has the facial type associated with St. Peter. Christ gestures to the right, where someone holds a palm branch.
