Outer Archivolts with figures of God from Genesis (outer) and the Creation of the Earth and the Fall of Man (inner)
Lower Left: God on the first Day of Creation (Genesis 1:1-3)
God (crossed halo, bearded) sits, looking at (reading?) an open book in his lap.
Lower Right : Creation of Day and Night (Genesis 1:4-5)
Day and Night are personified as two semi-nude standing figures. Night (right) is a woman with a blindfold over her eyes. She holds the disk of the moon. She holds the hands of Day (Left) He holds an unidentified object in his hand.
Upper Left : God on the second Day of Creation (Genesis 1:6-8)
God (crossed halo, bearded) sits, looking upward.
Upper Right: Creation of the firmament on the second Day of Creation (Genesis 1:6-8)
At the bottom of the scene is a mass of waves (waters that were under the firmament). Above are two angels. One looks and gestures toward the figure of God on the outer archivolt. The other looks upwards and holds its palms together in a gesture of prayer.
At the top of the scene is a mass of waves (waters that were above the firmament).
