Description
Left and Center faces of center column of left side of left door. Hunting scene(?). On the left is a horse with a saddle. On the center face a bearded man on foot raises a spear to fight a lion at right. Below the lion and the man is a supine animal.
Kidson suggests that this might represent episodes in the classical story of Hercules. He suggests they show be Hercules encounter with the Nemean lion and/or the lion engaged with the lion of Cithaeron (Kidson, p. 7).
To the left is a foliate capital on the left most column.
