Title
"Long Live the Equal-Rights Woman in the USSR, an Active Participant in the Administration of the Nation’s State, Economic, and Cultural Affairs!" (Da zdravstvuet ravnopravnaia zhenshchina v SSSR, aktivnaia uchastnitsa v upravlenii gosudarstvom, khoziaistvennymi i kul'turnymi delami strany!)
Description
Despite Stalin's 1936 constitutional guarantee of equal rights to women, few of them engaged in political study or party activism. Instead Stalin's pro-family laws in the 1930s ended up saddling women with a 'double-burden', a combination of full-time work and domestic duties.
