The United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America (UE) Research department is responsible for collecting information on a variety of topics concerning the union. This series contains correspondence, publications, and transcripts regarding several government agencies and hearings. Included are transcripts from the Watergate hearings and President Richard Nixon's impeachment. Files on government agencies such as the Atomic Energy Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission are also present, in addition to Daily and War Labor reports. Works Progress Administration Research Project reports detailing industry and manufacturing in the United States during the 1930s are also contained within this series.
