Incorporated: pre-1900, in PA; Demised: March 11, 1904 (Name change); Predecessors: New York and Cleveland Gas Coal Company, First Pool Monongahela Gas Coal Company, Mansfield Coal and Coke Company, etc.; Successor: Pittsburgh Coal Company of Pennsylvania; Statistics: Under agreement of January 12, 1904, the Pittsburgh Coal Company (N.J.) conveyed to the Pennsylvania Mining Company all the properties of the New York and Cleveland Coal Company, the First Pool Monongahela Gas Coal Company, the Mansfield Coal and Coke Company and all its other coal lands and railroads in Pennsylvania. Renamed Pittsburgh Coal Company of Pennsylvania on March 11, 1904.
