Series II. Oakmont Mine Maps, 1919-1966

Scope and Content Notes:

This series includes maps, information sheets, and technical drawings relating to the Oakmont Mine, also known as the Barking Mine. It was located in Barking, Plum Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, along a strip of land under the cliffs of Coxcomb hill on the Allegheny Valley Railroad and with barge loading facilities on the Allegheny River. The mine was owned by the Diamond Coal and Coke Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
