Scope and Content Notes: On December 14, 1907, the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad purchased one-half interest in the Lake Erie & Eastern Railroad, a Youngstown switching line.
This series has a number of documents related to this railroad line that show Lake Erie & Eastern Railroad's daily operations from its purchase date in 1907 through 1979. The Lake Erie & Eastern Railroad series, dating 1908-1980s, contains reports, blueprints, employee records, and contracts. The information is by no means a complete record of this particular line.
