Series II. Armor Production, 1887-1961

Scope and Content Notes:

The Armor Production Series contains material documenting the production, testing, and sale of armor at the Homestead Works, with the majority of documents pertaining to armor production for military use during World War II. Files in this series include reports about metallurgy tests from 1894 and 1912; government publications and studies from World War I and World War II; and correspondence between Homestead management and the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II.
