Series VII. Notes and Correspondence of Later Years and Manuscripts on Entropy, 1954-1970

Scope and Content Notes:

The first part of the series (subseries 1) contains notes and correspondence that accumulated during Carnap’s last years. The second part (subseries 2) includes manuscript drafts on the concept of "entropy," which were authored in the early to mid 1950s. In these drafts, Carnap developed the abstract concept of entropy for use in inductive logic.
