Scope and Content Notes:

For the most part this series' materials are chiefly from the eleven year period, 1954 through 1964, but incomplete, when Ellis was owner-director of the Playhouse. Includes correspondence, local publications, clippings, financial records, etc., 1948-75. Includes one folder of correspondence, 12 items, concerns Frances Farmer, 1956-57. Bucks County materials are also located in other series of these Papers: see Series VIII and IX for Bucks County productions later considered for, or produced in, New York; Bucks Country scripts in Series X; additional material in scrapbooks 5-6, Series XII.
