Subseries 2. Music Academy of the West, 1997-2009

Scope and Content Notes: The Music Academy of the West is an institution which, like the Marilyn Horne Foundation, is committed to the development of the next generation of classical musicians. Marilyn Horne, who studied under Lotte Lehmann at the Academy as a teenager, accepted the position of Voice Program Director in 1997 and consequently the two groups have been in close collaboration ever since. This subseries contains materials for each of the Music Academy of the West's Summer Festivals between 1997 and 2009. Each year's folders contain correspondence, financial papers, reviews, advertising, programs, and other materials.
