Ikebana International is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the knowledge, awareness, and appreciation for the art of Japanese flower arrangement across the world. The organization was founded in Japan in 1956 and has expanded to include more the 150 chapters in over 50 countries, including the United States. The Pittsburgh Chapter #25 was established in September of 1959 by Kay M. McKenna. The Pittsburgh Chapter has been active on both the local and international stage. The records include administrative files, yearbooks, scrapbooks, and publications.
