The Archives Service Center has been working with Diana Nelson Jones, city neighborhood reporter and writer of the City Walkabout Blog for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
on something she calls The Storefront Project. Jones' goal is to visually show the evolution of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods and started with the Center Avenue corridor in the Hill District. To date, nearly 200 images have been scanned specifically for this project from our Pittsburgh City Photographer Collection with many others selected from images already online in Historic Pittsburgh.
