More University Archives Collections Open for Research Use

The University of Pittsburgh Archives released a finding aid to the records of former Pitt Chancellor Rufus Henry Fitzgerald, who served between 1945-1955. In addition to the day to day files, there are those that document the construction of several large buildings on campus as well as the development of the Medical Center during this time. The papers of Cynthia Sutherland, a professor of English Literature and Women’s Studies at the University of Pittsburgh (1968-1996), document her teaching interests which encompassed a broad range of subject matter including: Elizabethan through eighteenth-century drama, modern drama, myth studies, folklore, children’s literature, fantasy and science fiction literature, psychoanalysis and identity, representations of women in literature, and the influence of women authors on drama and literature.
